Dangerous Business

Not all people enjoy a simple happy life, but they love to encounter difficulties. They want them just like these problems are their property. Traveling is another name for going out, expanding your perspective, and finding yourself. In the words of Bilbo Baggins, “Not all those who wander are lost.” Going out helps you escape your comfort zone and widen your imagination.

The same goes for our charming strongest girl Amanda who not only likes to travel but wants to pursue her dream of exploring and a dangerous business travel blog.

Who Is Amanda?

Amanda is a successful businesswoman who has been traveling the world for work for years. She has seen some unbelievable sights and met some fascinating people, all while exploring new cultures. Dangerous Business is her blog sharing her adventures with those of us left at home. Find out what it’s really like to be on the road for work! What are her tips for staying safe? How does she manage jet lag? And why does she love visiting different countries so much? Read more from Dangerous Business here . . .

One day I started Dangerous Business as a way to share my experiences with others. Writing about travel had become an important part of how I remember trips and they were always such great stories that I couldn’t help but want to share them! It also helps you look back over your travels, remember just how awesome they were, and show off photos without boring your friends. Most importantly though: writing for Dangerous Business lets me keep up relationships with people in faraway places—I don’t have any regrets about starting it!

Travel Blogs

Dangerous Business is the blog of Kate, an entrepreneur who spends a lot of time on the road. In her blog posts, she writes about traveling for business and balancing work with pleasure. You can find her musings about everything from local food to navigating social customs across cultures. Kate’s goal is to help you feel less intimidated by going abroad for business, and more excited about the opportunity to explore new places! The most recent post on Dangerous Business? Dangerous Business is a business blog on all things international travel. Whether your jet-setting across the world or just wanting to find out what life would be like abroad, Dangerous Business will have articles for you. Articles cover topics such as the best airports and destinations, secret spots, and insider information.

Want to know what other countries are doing right and wrong? Dangerous Business has that covered too! Take a look at our series of articles called If America had. In this series, Dangerous Business explores how different aspects of American culture would change if they were transplanted into another country. What would happen if beer were illegal in America? How about if we switched our currency to Euros?

Nomadic Adventures of Amanda

Amanda’s life is a dangerous business. She’s always on the move, never settling in one place for too long. Having grown up as an Army Brat and then living all over the world with her scientist parents, she knows the value of traveling light. When she was 13 years old, her family moved to Africa where they lived in a small thatched-roof hut without electricity or running water.

They had no TVs; no phone and they didn’t know if they would ever see their friends or family again. Her father’s salary went straight to funding his research projects, so Amanda learned how to make money by trading items at markets and selling goods on the street corner.

Passion

I am a self-proclaimed dangerous business traveller. I recently travelled to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. I’ve been doing this for so long that it’s not unusual for me to fly on an unstable aircraft, ride in a truck with no seatbelts or suspension, or stay in what would be classified as a dangerous hotel.

It’s not even unusual for me to visit dangerous restaurants and bars. What can I say? When you do dangerous business travel all the time, danger doesn’t really bother you anymore. What bothers me is sitting still. Sitting still means being bored out of my mind…which is why I’m always out traveling! If I don’t keep moving, then there will never be anything new in life. That’s just how it is for me, dangerous business.

Conclusion

You might be thinking, Dangerous Business is an awful title. It’s true, but it is also an accurate description of traveling as a business owner. I have started my company, Dangerous Business LLC, with the goal of making entrepreneurship accessible to everyone. Every day I wake up and do something dangerous. I’m one bad flight or one missed connection away from losing everything that matters to me.

But being a business traveller has taught me skills and provided me with experiences that would have been impossible elsewhere. What’s more: this lifestyle has enabled me to start my own company and share what I’ve learned so far along the way—and hopefully help you stay safe when you are on the road for your next big adventure!

If starting your own business sounds like a dream job to you, then keep reading! If not, there are plenty of other ways out there where you can get paid for doing work that interests you. I am always looking for new opportunities where I can reach people who want to travel smarter — if you know of any such opportunity, leave a comment below :). Next week will begin our Dangerous Business Basics series which will explore how staying healthy in every sense helps make sure we’re ready for whatever comes our way. Until then — here’s wishing all travellers safe journeys (and some great stories!)

First travel story – First Paragraph: As entrepreneurs around the world plan vacations and international trips during their upcoming holidays, many will feel nervous about embarking on such extended travel solo.
